ABOUT
250 years later, we are celebrating what we now call “Patriot’s Day” with a fictional Town Meeting in one of Scituate’s meetinghouses.

The Scituate militia spent all day yesterday taking part in
military drills in the neighboring town of Pembroke with 9 or
10 other local companies. A last-minute Town Meeting has been called by the Parish Minister and Nathan Cushing, Esq. to discuss current events, and everyone has left their homes and fields to attend this important assembly.
